and together they help you perform your task.

and uses of this two element of computer, for you to understand.
HARDWARE
This is the physical part of a computer that can be seen,
and touch.
If you like as the owner of your computer you can break your
hardware with a stone just because you can see it. Have you ever broken any hardware
before?
Well this hardware range all the way from your input device to
your CPU (central processing unit), storage device to the output system.
Example of hardware
INPUT DEVICE: these are hardware device use to key in data
like words, sound and picture into the computer system.

PROCESSING HARDWARE DEVICE: these are the parts that enable us to process our
data in the computer system. Examples of these are the CPU (Central processing unit)
and micro-controllers.

understand things, remember things and store things.
In same way the
computer memory help the computer to remember processed data and store it data
and helps to bring the data up when needed by you. Examples of there are HDD (Hard
Disk Drive), RAM (random access memory), SSD (Solid-State Drive), and CDD (Compact
Disk Drive) and many more.

and I see have been processed by the computer or enable us see what we key in,
so we won’t have to spell our words wrong, design our picture bad and know how
we mix a perfect sound. Examples of these are monitor, printer,

MOTHERBOARD: this help to hold other hardware of your
computer and enable effective connection within different hardware connected to
it with the use of bus.

use to provide power to the motherboard and every other hardware connected to
the board.

to navigate, point and drag object. It also help to perform important things
like highlight, clicking, and show some hidden features like when you highlight

to transfer data to the computer or store information from the computer.

Although there are many more examples of hardware, all you
need to remember when trying to figure out hardware is to know if you can see
it and touch it. If you can see it and you can touch it, then it hardware.
SOFTWARE
These are those stuff you can see but cannot touch, because they
are set of programs that tells the computer, what to do and how to them.
Software also manages, control and integrate different
hardware in the computer system.
These software ranges all from application to system
software
APPLICATION SOFTWARE: These are the software that helps you
and I perform our needs like
- The use of Microsoft word (MS word) to type
our project and document.
- The use of Adobe Photoshop to design and
edit, pictures and logo.
- The use of Microsoft power point for our
presentation.
- The use of VLC media player to play audio
and video.

SYSTEM SOFTWARE: these are software that directly operates
the computer hardware, to provide basic functionality needed by users and other
software, and to provide some kind of platform for running application
software. Without this system software a computer system cannot work as
expected by you and me.
Examples of this software are
- Operating system (OS)
- Device drivers
- Utilities like
the disk cleanup tool in our computer system.
